East Cobb Dutch Gambrel
This major renovation in East Cobb area of north Atlanta entailed a whole house remodel. The basis was a simple dutch gambrel house sited on a corner lot. The design solution enhanced the house plan by adding a large family room/kitchen, and on open veranda across the back of the house. My clients children love to play and roam seamlessly from open yard… to covered porch…to inside…in one quick motion.
Overall renovations included introduction of one new bedroom on the second floor and a kids study hall overlooking the back yard. A new front stoop was created, with blue-stone and brick detailing. Overarching design intent was to create a new functional design for our clients without sacrificing the original architectural features of this house.
